Discover Genoa

Immersed in history and surrounded by art, Hotel Cairoli is the perfect starting point for discovering Genoa. From here there are an incredible variety of possibilities. We have created two itineraries to facilitate the discovery of the city. The first is more touristic and will take you straight to the ancient port of Genoa, home to many tourist attractions, among which the most important is the aquarium. The second, more artistic, offers tourists the opportunity to cross the streets bordered by the ancient Genoese buildings where prestigious art collections are kept, then passing through the Palazzo Ducale to the historic cathedral of San Lorenzo. Finally you will arrive at the Port by connecting to the first itinerary.

Tourist Itinerary

As soon as you leave the hotel, go left until you reach the crossroads with Via Bensa. Follow it all to get to a roundabout from which turning left after a few meters you will end up at the Ancient Port of Genoa.
Here, real wonders await for young and adults. From the innovative Museum of the Sea near which you can visit an authentic submarine passing through the Biosphere, the huge glass bubble of Renzo Piano that houses a portion of tropical rainforest, up to the tip of the diamond, as well as the pride of the city, the largest aquarium in Europe.
